About me

I am one of those fortunate people who have been able to turn an abiding love affair with food into a living! After an unlikely career in banking I retrained some years ago and I have spent the last fifteen years as a home economist, cookery presenter and food stylist and I have built up a wealth of experience. Having run a cookery theatre for the last eight years I am now concentrating on my freelance work. My skill set includes presenting and demonstrating recipes to diverse audience groups, writing and testing recipes and using my flair and creativity on food styling projects. I was a finalist in Gordon Ramsay’s search to find the new Fanny Cradock for his F Word programme on Channel Four in 2007 and since that fateful evening cooking for Gordon on air, I have made numerous radio and TV appearances. I am as happy in front of the camera as behind it and have worked as a home economist for shopping channel projects as well as being a model and presenter. As a home economist I work regularly with many of the country’s top chefs such as James Martin, Michael Caines and Rosemary Shrager.
